History
Custom Awards Plus, Inc. was started in November of 1999 by Jim and Ellen
Berger. This was only a name change . We had purchased K & G Engraving in
May of 1993, and operated the company under that name until 1999. In August
of 1995, we purchased Kingdom Awards and rolled it into K & G Engraving.
The people we purchased K & G Engraving from started it in the early 1980s.
The company historically had used word-of-mouth advertising and had built an
outstanding reputation. We have expanded our customer base to include
customers in Kansas, Oklahoma, Missouri and Iowa. In 2001, we purchased
Neosho Graphics, a smaller company offering only one product. Today we are
servicing repeat customers in 27+ states and have provided product for
satisfied customers in several more.
When this company was started they adopted the motto, "If you aren't satisfied, we aren't satisfied." We have maintained that philosophy. The
company had purchased their eighth computer engraver produced by a major
engraver manufacturer, meaning they were on the cutting edge of technology.
We have continually upgraded equipment to serve our customers better. We
have late-model computer engravers with a wide range of capabilities or with
our sublimation system we can add color to your awards for a brighter
up-to-date look. We have added laser engraving and sand carving to the
services that we do in-house.
If you need a large order for sales staff, top customers, employees, or the
winning team, we can do the job for you. But also if you need a one piece,
inexpensive recognition item, for one-time use or to use repetitively, we
are still here to serve you. We have done special projects ranging from a
scepter (for a local college to use during formal ceremonies) to silver
ingots in acrylic.
We can reproduce your artwork or logo and engrave it on most any award item
that you choose. For more information on the on sending art work please see
FAQ.
We also make interior signs with or without ADA raised characters and
Braille handicap dots for large commercial buildings such as hospitals,
motels, judicial centers, courthouses, etc.
During the last couple of years,
we have recognized some opportunities in the area of industrial engraving
and are offering that to our customers.

Servant leadership dictates that, employees don't work for me, but I work for
them. If they don't have the resources to do their jobs, it is my
responsibility to provide it, whether it be equipment, materials, direction,
information, answers, solutions or guidance.
We are a service business. We aim to provide this kind of leadership, to our
customers, in our families and to the community.
